Ami Assistance is an important company operating in the Travel Insurance sector, which deals with protecting and assisting travellers.

Since 1933, Ami Assistance has offered insurance products and quality services capable of guaranteeing tourists, alone or in a group, maximum protection in every part of the world. Its mission is to understand the needs of travellers and operators in the sector to provide innovative and effective solutions that align with their requirements.

  • 01 Challenge

How to simplify the use of digital travel insurance products, making it pleasant and attractive at the same time?

For AMI Assistance, we conducted an in-depth flow reprocessing activity to eliminate unnecessary steps, enhance navigation efficiency, and expedite activities for both customers and agents. We also focused on creating an inviting graphic interface, leveraging the dynamic mascot element.

  • 02 Solution

Flows and Wireframes.

The project commenced with a detailed study and redesign of user flows. This included analysing the user journeys within the public area of the site as well as those of the agents using the professional portal. Our primary objective was to optimise the overall User Experience.
For the website, we designed an architecture that simplifies user navigation and information retrieval, making activities more straightforward and intuitive. As for the agent portal, we developed an integrated solution tailored to professionals, streamlining operations for increased efficiency. Notably, we significantly reduced the number of steps and clicks required for policy issuance and, through the implementation of appropriate technologies, minimised the necessary information for generating estimates.

Following this phase, we created wireframes to illustrate the interface structure to the client and assess its effectiveness.

User Interface Design.

After validating the wireframes with the customer, we proceeded to develop the graphic interface. Our design choices were driven by the goal of achieving a final result that conveys a sense of simplicity, professionalism, and approachability.

For the private platform, designed as a professional tool, we opted for a sober interface that maintains aesthetic appeal.

  • 04 Solution

Prototyping.

Finally, we developed two fully navigable prototypes, so as to present the customer with a complete and defined view of the final products, collect feedback and refine the result.

  • 05 Solution

AMI mascot.

To make the experience in the reserved area more captivating and dynamic, we introduced AMI, the mascot that accompanies and guides the user throughout the entire navigation flow. We selected the carrier pigeon as our mascot due to its strong sense of orientation and its remarkable ability to find its way home. Thanks to AMI, users can easily navigate and complete their journey without difficulty.
